Selfless Friendship

selfless friendship

Nothing can destroy the power of true friendship and two first graders prove just how powerful it can be during a time of devastation and heartbreak. On February 21, 2015 in Normandy, Missouri, a massive fire left dozens of families displaced, including seven-year-old Ryan Branson and his family.

His best friend Kollin Clark was deeply saddened by the incident and wanted to find a way to help. He asked his mom to help him create a video to reach the users of Facebook and ask them to donate money to Ryan’s family. Within five days over $8,000 was donated to the Go-Fund-Me page that Kollin and his mom created.

This Thoughtful Thursday, we admire the friendship of Kollin and Ryan. The act of kindness that Kollin did shows how selfless and genuine real friends can be.
