Step2 Receives Retail TouchPoints Channel Innovation Award

Retail TouchPoints (RTP), the industry’s go-to source for customer engagement strategies, has awarded Step2 the Channel Innovation Bronze Award, honoring Step2 for achieving cross-channel success in today’s challenging retail environment.

Step2 is proud to be honored alongside Tesco, S Group, Foodie.fm, Envelopes.com, David’s Bridal, Marks & Spencer, Target, and Stop & Shop.

Step2 was specifically honored for its achievement in using video to give customers a more comprehensive introduction to products. Partnering with Invodo, Step2 developed a pilot program with Toys R Us featuring QR code linking to product videos in stores. This allowed customers to make more informed purchase decisions about products that may be too large to display in stores.

“As retailers continue to forge ahead into the cross-channel retail world, striving to meet the demands of today’s cross-channel shoppers, the CIA Awards recognize those efforts,” noted Debbie Hauss, Editor-in-Chief of Retail TouchPoints. “The combination of shopper demands, technology innovations and retailer responsiveness has created a perfect storm of cross-channel success in 2012 and into the future.”

She added: “As expected, many of the winners are incorporating mobile technology and social media into their marketing mix, but it was their innovative use of the technologies and the coordination across channels that made them stand out as Channel Innovation Award winners.”
