Here at Step2, we’re firm believers in giving back to our community. It gives us great joy to volunteer our time to organizations that help little ones, which is why we participated in the Change Bandits campaign and Have a Heart, Do Your Part Radiothon for Akron Children’s Hospital. The mission of the Change Bandits program was to kick off the radiothon by encouraging schools, businesses, individuals and families to “rob” their friends, loved ones and co-workers of spare change. All of the change was collected the night before the radiothon.
We managed to collect $323.23 around our office and our CEO matched the amount to support this worthy cause.
On February 14, 2015 we spread the love by answering phones at the radiothon. The pledges from the radiothon and amount raised from the Change Bandits are used to fund patient care, research and buy child-size medical equipment.
Through the generosity of callers, participants in the Change Bandits campaign and volunteers of the radiothon, $481,277.98 was raised for Akron Children’s Hospital.
