The Step2 Company, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling this toy. Although the toy has been tested and meets stability standards, Step2 has received four reports, including two reports of injury, that children attempting to move the cars with their feet leaned forward too far on the seat and went over the handlebar.

The X-Rider Car is a 14" high, 14" wide, and 19" long red plastic toy car with a yellow handlebar and seat. The product is intended for use by children over 18 months of age as a basic first riding toy. Children use their feet to propel the vehicle. The middle of the handlebar contains the Step2 logo. Step2's contact information is located on the side of the car.

If your child is using an X-Rider Car, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and keep it away from the child.

Fill out the form below to receive a replacement toy or call Step2 toll free at (866) 860-1887 between 8 am and 5 pm EST Monday through Friday.

Please have printer access and the X-Rider Car product readily available while completing this process. After completing the form below, you will receive detailed instructions to remove and return the handlebar along with necessary documentation to select and receive your replacement toy.
