Ghoulish Fun for Halloween 2012

Halloween is less than two weeks away! As the leaves continue to drop and change color and carved pumpkins fill the neighborhood, there are plenty of activities to do with your kids during this festive and spooky time of year. FamilyEducation.com had some great ideas for Halloween to get your children excited about this holiday!

Leading up to Halloween, you can of course carve a pumpkin but you can also help your children design their own trick or treat bags by finding a canvas tote bag from a local craft store and letting your child’s imagination run wild with paint and markers and whatever else they can find!

To contribute to the decorations outside, children can design empty flowerpots by painting them to look like creepy creatures. It might even be easier than attempting to carve a pumpkin!

Then after the Halloween and the trick or treating is complete, your children will need somewhere to put their candy! Be prepared and make a Halloween treat bowl. Take any kind of bowl you have and make it black, orange, and white with ghouls, pumpkins, or whatever else you and your kids can think of!

What crafts are you doing with your children to get ready for this spooky time of year?
